Soy una mujer modelo 1959. Una generación bisagra en la historia de las mujeres. Madre de cinco hijos, con habilidades de ama de casa, cocinando comida casera, tejiendo sweaters y cosiendo disfraces, como lo hizo mi madre.Me recibí de médica, luego especializándome como ginecóloga y obstetra, me di cuenta que amaba explorar mas las historias de las personas que realizar exámenes mamarios. Y allí me enamoré de la psiquiatria, y desde entonces es que dedico mi vida a trabajar con pacientes, mientras jamás abandoné mi placer de cocinar pan casero.Soy un híbrido de esa generación que debía mantener ambos roles.. Doy gracias a mis padres porque me gusta el combo.Dedicada a trabajar por el Trastorno por Deficit de Atención e hiperactividad desde 1996, encontré la posibilidad de trabajar en lo que mas me gusta. Ayudar a personas y familias enteras a darse cuenta que no están solos.Siempre que pude escribí, hasta que mi blog fue mi refugio. Adultos desorganizados en apuros...y allí volqué mi manera de pensar cómo relatar historias, o brindar mis puntos de vista.?Doy gracias a Dios que el sol sigue brillando para mí. Rubén Quintas (Ourense, Galicia, España, 1984), autor del libro Stop Depresión, exdepresivo, escritor y coach. Durante años ha convivido con esta enfermedad de cerca, puesto que su padre tenía depresión y, cuando Rubén tenía diecisiete años, su padre decidió poner fin a su vida: no logró superarla. Después de que esto pasara, el autor cayó en una terrible depresión que duró más de siete años.Tomaba pastillas, e iba al psicólogo y al psiquiatra. Te suena, ¿verdad No salía de casa, se pasaba todo el día en cama, aterrado por todas las sensaciones que su cuerpo y mente estaban sufriendo, incluso con ideas de suicidio. ¡No sabía qué le estaba pasando! Durante esos años, y al ver que con las pastillas no conseguía estar bien, decidió investigar diferentes terapias. Gracias a ellas, ha superado su enfermedad, y quiere compartirlas contigo para que logres lo que él ha logrado, superar tu depresión. Ha escrito el libro Stop Depresión, en el que relata su experiencia y cuenta todo lo que hizo para que llegue a todo el mundo y no tengan miedo, esta enfermedad se cura.Es un orgullo para mí ver como lectores de Stop Depresión recuperan sus ganas de vivir, por eso siempre estoy muy contento de que me envíen sus historias. Elena Pita (Ares, Spain; September 1962) is a writer and journalist. She is the author of the novels 'No amarás a tu madre' and 'Amor sin decir Amalia'; collection of interviews 'El bello oficio de hacerse viejo' and 'El oficio de amar', as well as several stories published in literary anthologies. In 1989 she was a member of the founding team of the daily 'El Mundo', now the second largest printed and first largest digital newspaper in Spain, where she began as one of the editors of the first International Policy Desk, then became editor of the Literary Supplement. She ultimately found her niche in the interview format for which she is now known. Ms. Pita studied Journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid and has done residencies in several European universities.

Let me introduce myself. I am the author of this somewhat strange book. But, above all, I hope to live up to what, to my amazement, once, in a museum, a child unknown to me told me. He said looking into my eyes: "You are good". Obviously, the image of this presentation is not my portrait. But I am attracted by the expression, the attitude, the way of being that I guess behind the half-closed eyelids of this man. He seems a good man. It will not hurt to add that this painting by Illex Beller is entitled "Itza the fool", and portrays the fool of the town of... It does not matter: of one of those hundreds of villages in Eastern Europe and Russia that were mostly populated by poor Jews (in their Yiddish language those villages are called shtetls: apparently an unpronounceable word, but it sounds more or less like "shtatles"). In general, people tend to despise fools. I, conversely, admire them. Because, in their innocence, fools resemble children, who possess a sixth sense for the things of the Other World -that back room of the Universe. And, since at my age I can not afford to consider myself a child, I am excited to think that I can still count myself among the fools. In fact, I do a lot of nonsense! Take this book for example: the investment of so many years of my life researching in depth to write a extensive treatise on the ancient theory of twin souls without expecting anything in return (I destine my eventual benefits entirely for Unicef). Who would think! It is foolish, right Thank you: you do me an honor.Let me add that, since I was a child, I have a disease called Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Although in my childhood and youth it made me suffer a lot, this illness, seen in perspective, has been a blessing for me: I think it has made me a better person. My obsessions are very varied. But the compulsion with which I deceive them has always been the same: reading. I am a compulsive reader. Reading, I get rid of my obsessions, I evade myself. Shortly after entering the University, I won a literary contest called by a television channel, and I began to earn a living as a scriptwriter. Since I was in love, the theme of soul mates emerged as a backdrop for a feature film project. I started reading about it. The subject gave much more of itself than I imagined. And so, I went deeper and deeper into the bookish world of ancient wisdom. Although the disciplines in which I was digging were very diverse, for more than ten years my compulsion of reading took a well defined course. Little by little, in the manner of a giant puzzle (of, say, a landscape) whose innumerable pieces slowly fit together, a certain landscape gradually took shape in my head. Well, this book is the detailed description of that landscape.
