A Short History of Scotland
rgblack

Jamie Robertson is a crime reporter whose own life is a roller coaster ride from his unorthodox birth to his retirement where he finally unearths some of the bogeymen that have haunted his life. He meets the men of violence, the women of vice, the victims and victors, the law makers and law breakers. He holds scathing views on the citys police force and yet he forms a tight bond with several officers and falls in love with one female officer. But she is a high flier, prepared to compromise justice to further her own career. The affair is short lived. Vans are smashed; heads are smashed, some people die. Some escape justice. Some are unjustly arrested. Jamie also spends a few nervous hours in the interview rooms. When he eventually finds the truth it explodes in his face. His world spirals out of control until he once again meets up with his lady love and together they exorcise the ghosts that have haunted them for 20 years. This is the softer version of the book Jammy Dodgers. The course street language has been removed so it is appropriate for a wider audience including young people.
