Alan Santos

Alan Santos (Porto Alegre, Brazil, May 28, 2003) is a Brazilian retrogamer content creator, writer and collector.

He began his journey in the "retrogamer" community in 2017, at just 14 years old, when he began to delve deeper into the subject and later developed the desire to collect old consoles. During the early years he began to spend almost half of his time studying the retrogamer community and its curiosities, and he taught his YouTube channel subscribers what he learned.

In 2020, together with 5 friends from different states in Brazil and abroad, they created the "GDA - Gamers das Antigas", where they held monthly YouTube meetings with the participation of friends where they discussed various different topics.

In the same year, seeing the knowledge he learned over time about the "retrogamer" community, he realized that this knowledge could be shared to help other collectors start their journey more easily; Thinking about it, in September 2020, he released his first book "In search of the perfect collection", where he taught very important tips to those who plan to start collecting

And in July 2021, through requests from friends and colleagues in Portugal, he launched his first book on Portuguese soil through Editora Bubok, which had been well received in the country during that period.

In 2023, he began to bring his books to Brazilian and Portuguese immigrants in the USA and, in the future, to launch our books entirely in Spanish and English.

Currently, you have 3 books published commenting on the "retrogamer" community, including topics such as the trivialization of the term "rarity" in the community and the importance of patience in collecting.
