Inthe Roman Catholic Church the doctrine of salvation is the most importantteaching. The church believes thatsalvation for humankind was accomplished by the death of Jesus Christ in ageneral sense. Butthere are considerable differences in the understanding of salvation betweenRoman Catholics and Seventh-day Adventists. Adventists have difficulty in approaching Roman Catholics because Seventh-day Adventists do not have a sufficientunderstanding of Roman Catholics, in general, nor a clear understanding ofsalvation in particular. Thisinsufficient understanding causes missiological problems in approaching RomanCatholics.
