Trainer appraisal and capacity measurement approaches to enhance trainer - standard of architecture program

This research have two major objective: to design a questionnaire style assessment form fit for calculating the quality of education in Pakistan and to analysis styles and methods of trainer evaluation and measurement method of architecture program. Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planning, criteria for accreditation of an architectural program suggests: Each institution should have self-appraisal and in-house performance appraisal to monitor and ensure their continued effectiveness. This evaluation is conducted by, primarily students, secondly by instructor himself and thirdly departmental assessment.

ANNOVA is a statistical tool is applied on five determinants of teaching skills, knowledge in the subject, instructor™s personality, Medias and instruments in teaching, in class climate. The important and accomplishment scores of opinion about the types and methods of evaluation showed that instructor and students had many different opinion.

Conclusively, learning environment can be calculated, by instructor standard and environmental standards. The instructor standard consists of degree of instructor, academic position, teaching experience, research profession, personality and attitude for teaching skills and techniques. Thus dividing descriptive, operative, descriptive-operative to measure trainer skills.

This is the first study for synchronizing the Architecture Program in Pakistan, therefore this study provides groundwork for future studies in other research design.
